20 for a growler fill!?!? Where are you going? LMB is $8 ($7 on Wednesdays); Isn't Springhouse only like $9?

It all depends on the beer. The last growler I had filled was $32 but it was 9.2%. Both goose island brewery and rock island by me charge up the but for high % beers.

Just found out st arnolds here in Houston is restricted by law but they are trying to get it to where they can and request that I write the state rep in regards to HB2094 so if there are any Houston locals here that want to help the local micro to be able to serve us directly and not only on tour days submit a letter to the state rep in regards to HB2094

That explains it; I know at LMB, my local pub, they do have a limited edition brew of a belgian triple- Very good, about 9.6% and growler fill is about $30. Forgot about that :)

Answer to the mini-RI brewery thread within this thread

John Harvard's is also known as Union Station it is right across from the Skating Rink in Down Town (down near RI-RA and all those Fancy places down there - decent beer, nothing to RAVE about - they don't do nearly as many "out there" brews as Trinity - they keep the beer simple and accessible to the masses.

Florida law is assed backwards they won't even allow filled growlers here... I asked a local brewpub about kegs and of course it's a no. You can brew and sell to consume on premise, however cannot distribute. You must be a licensed company and/or a distributer to get beer out and not sell on premise. It's retarded, here is some info.

Does any on know if any Arizona brewerys will do this. I was told Sleepy dogs does but I just called and the guys said they dont.

Great idea, I'm going to ask at the local brewpub tomorrow, they are having their quarterly tasting. Would love to have some of the stuff from there on tap.

Dry Dock here in Aurora, CO will fill either ball or pin lock's for 55, 65 or 90 depending on the batch.

In San Francisco, both 21st Amendment and Magnolias used to fill cornies, but for whatever reason they no longer do so. Bummer because they have some awesome beer. The last successful attempt I had was at Triple Rock in Berkeley.

I just called sun up brewery in Phoenix and they will refill your 5 gallon for $50 and your 3 gallon for $35. Not to bad of a deal.

Magic Hat will not fill your corny. Was headed to that area last week and wanted something while my initial pipeline finished aging. I've got a 4 keg setup with nothing in them:eek:

In San Diego area, I know Alesmith does. They ask that you drop it off and pick it up a day or two later though.

I got a few prices from them recently:
X and Anvil ESB $60 plus tax.
IPA, Lil' Devil $75 plus tax
Wee Heavy $95 plus tax

Stone Brewery does not. They sell kegs in 1/6, 1/4, 1/2 bbl, but they will not fill your own, or swap with one from another brewery. $100 deposit on kegs (all sizes I guess?)

I'm curious about Ballast Point, but haven't contacted them yet.
[Edit]
Found the unfortunate answer about ballast point on this thread

Cheers.

Anyone know if the new Pensacola Bay Brewery fills cornies? I tried to email them but I haven't gotten a response. I know they sell kegs and fill growlers and such.

I just got an email from Rock Bottom in Cincinnati that it is illegal to fill outside kegs. Anyone else from Ohio know anything about this?

The pensacola bay brewery will fill corny kegs if you call them and make an appointment. I don't know about prices. I emailed em the other night and that was the response.

It's because state law says it is not legal for them to do that unless the container is labeled for that brewery. In fact if the container is labeled more specifically (e.g. if you own an Arrogant Bastard growler) they can only put that one beer in there at the brewery.

Egad. Do you know the California state law that says the keg needs to be properly labeled? I mean, can I use my P-Touch to label my keg?
