Had a slight boil over. Bg reading of 1.037 should I be worried? It's fermenting in garage and it's gonna get cold tonight. Any suggestions?

You should be just fine. Boil overs happen to all of us and it nothing but a messro worry about. Good luck with your batch

Sorry for the typos

Can anyone tell me what the alcohol percent of my beer is? Og = 1.037 fg= 1.010???

Thanks happy! Is there anything I can do to increase it at this point?

Yes, but don't worry about it. It's not something you want to mess with on this beer. Brew another beer with a higher abv if that's what you want. Trust me.

:)

After a few stronger brews, you will appreciate having something of that abc on hand....I always try now to have one lighter option available - usually one of every four brews...it will be good. They don't all need to be big. I just brewed this in extract...let's compare notes on this thread in a month or two.

Dont keep it in the gayrage if you get 15 deg temps like we are getting. ferment it at least 5-10 below the yeasts recommended temps. Is this a lager?

It's not a lager and it's been fermenting at approx 70 degrees.

Abv ...sorry for the typo

Below all of your own posts there is an "edit post" button (next to the quote button) that you can use to go in and correct any errors you'd like to fix. I usually post and then while I'm reading something else go "well, that sounded a little pendantic" or "oh wait, I forgot to talk about X" and go back and change it. I think most of my posts have the little "edited by" bit at the bottom. :mug:

Is there a button that says "I was drunk and half my post made no sense to me when I read it the next day?" Because the part of my post here about making the same thing and comparing notes would qualify ....especially since the OP didn't specify the recipe...must have gotten my threads mixed up sometime before I fell asleep watching the matrix....

Nope, we just sort of assume that to be the case by default:tank:
