The tin foil is wrapped around a pink foam block to help keep the mash at a stable temperature.

The rack was about $80. Yes, I'm sexy. Drinking Coney Island Lager. Yes, it's a march pump. Stupid dip tube in the HLT got stuck to the bottom of the vessel and stopped pumping.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by. It was nice to have some company for my brewday! Efficiency ended up at a paltry 57%. Blargh. Maybe I'll try a protein rest as someone suggested next time.
