Made a 2 litre starter using Wyeast 1272 for a brown ale I intended to brew today.
Made the starter on Wednesday, 24 hours on the stir plate at 20C (68F), and it been sitting at same temp since Thursday.
Still seeing steady streams of bubbles rising, but a nice fairly settled layer at the bottom.
Should I give it another day or pitch it this aft as planned?

Check gravity of starter wort. 1.008 or less (80% apparent attenuation of 1.040 starter) and you are about as good as you’ll get. Best way to determine if your starter has developed.

Just to close this off so that I remember what I did the next time this happens 😂
I went ahead and decanted about 1 litre and dumped the rest into the wort. It was still very active and a high amount of CO2 in the starter - foamed up when I swirled the flask.
Anyway, happy to report vigorous fermentation happening today.
