Not sure if any of you have seen this article on Wired but my stance on it is whoever can make a brew kettle like this....just shut up and take my money...all of it.

The weird thing is that it doesn't take any special sort of engineer, since I had thought about this before and just lacked the means to produce it. You could make it even more efficient by controlling air flow from the burner... or even just a wind screen... or have metal capped pipes run up from the bottom of the pot...

A simple windscreen would help tremendously.

Nice find, very interesting, I'm sure that works ok if your brewing indoors with no wind.

Some cheap aluminum flashing wrapped around the pot with and air gap would channel the hot gasses better though.
