Brew hoses

How are you guys treating your brew hoses after a brew day? I often times find haze or (worst case) mold forming between brew days.

I flush with hot water, soak in oxyclean while I clean other stuff. Final rinse with more hot water. Hang to dry. Sometimes I'll give them a spin over my head to get the water out quicker.

Hose sprayer for about 5 seconds. That's it. I used to oxyclean them, no more. Silicone hoses.

I run them full of sanitizer solution, then hang on the pot rack to dry. I used to have mold problems when I would coil them up to store before they were completely dry.

I just got a 50 ft coil of silicone tubing. Haven't used yet. What sort of differences have you seen from typical clear PVC tubing?

I just rinse them with hot water and hang to dry. But mold and rust are not issues here since we are so dry. Hell I can leave a bag of chips open for a few days and they will still be crisp.

I used to use the clear pvc with the reinforced braid in it. It worked OK. I had silicone for a while before I finally used it.

I like the silicone for one main reason: it is far more flexible than the pvc, expecially in the winter. I wouldn't go back now.

I flush them with oxy. Then I take my spare CO2 tank, pop on an adapter and blow the water out of them before hanging them up.

You know, in January when the cold blows down from the north and the mercury drops below 70. Brrrrrrrr!

Same here, then hang them in the garage. Never any mold.
