Hi there..

Anyone using brew cubes? Curious if you have ever had them leak when fermenting. I have 10 gal of pumpkin in mine right now. First time using it, and the airlock isn't bubbling, but I'm getting healthy fermentation. Co2, kraussen, and already dropped 20points.

Pleaselet me know your thoughts.

I think I'm getting leakage between the lid adapter and the body of the fermenter. Is there an oring in there or something?

I use them. I've never been concerned with my fermenters being airtight so I've never really checked. The reality is that there is so much co2 being produced the chance of any contaminant getting in and doing damage is very small.

That is my thought as well. I guess I just need to be more vigilant on getting it out of there when primary is over, and into secondary.

RDWHAHB...moving it into secondary could very well expose it to more oxygen than leaving it right where it is. Just cause the airlock isn't bubbling, doesn't mean it's letting in ambient air at any great quantity.

Granted, I wouldn't leave it like that for months...but a few weeks should pose no issues.
