Brew Bench with Drawers

Here is an idea for a brew bench with drawers. I built this for a buddy of mine as we were finishing our basement. He will use it as an island in his kitchen. EDIT: I used plans from here: http://www.ana-white.com/2010/03/pla...en-island.htmland it cost about $175 to build.

Solid construction, my worry would be if I spill anything would it leak into the drawers? I don't make a habit of spilling, but I've had a few doosies

I have never ever spilled anything, ever. Well, maybe once. The drawers remove, i would fill them with brewing implements anyhow. Bet you could put plywood on the top vs 2x4s...

I've been thinking of doing something like that for my basement brewery.

Yep, simple afternoon build, nothing fancy, all home depot purchase. Stain or pant to suit.

Was this a kit? If not, were the drawers available premade?

No, not a kit. I made the drawers. My buddy brought the plans and we worked from them - let me see if I can find them.

You can see other versions there too where other people modded the plans a bit to suit their needs - one of them has a metal top....

We built this for about $175.
