So I'm looking to brew up a Saison this winter and I'm planning on using 3711. I want to keep the fermentation on the warmer side and with it being in my basement, it gets a little cold. Has anyone use a brew belt on a plastic bucket?

I realize it'll just stay on if I plug it in but I'm more worried about does it get hot enough to warp/damage the bucket?

The Brewbelt won't get hot to the touch, and the bucket of beer is a huge thermal mass that will keep it from overheating. However, it has no temp control, so no way to predict how warm your fermenter will get. It will raise the temp several degrees above ambient.

I use a FermWrap and attach it to an Inkbird controller so I can control temp. Ink birds are cheap enough and are good to have a few laying around.
