Hi yall. In the last 2-3 years I have explored the beer world starting by putting down a bottle of Moosehead and picking up a $10 bottle of Chimay. What does a $10 bottle of beer taste like?? I found out. I then headed to the nearest BevMo to search out and taste all the Belgium ales I could get my hands on. My favorite would change so often I had a top 10 list instead. The list now is in categories.I do know that I am a full on hophead now. I have found that not only do I love drinking beer but I also love to learn about it's history, when whys hows etc. My friends often ask why. Why do I not brew my own? Good question, and to me,it seems like the next logical step. So here I am. No kit yet but that will come soon. I will hang around and read to learn then get a starter kit and........move forward.

c ya round!

Welcome. Tons of great info here, and it's a good fun place to cyberchill.

I used to give that answer all the time. But BHT doesn't give you a search feature unless you are a paid member IRIC
That's not true, unless they changed the policy sometime after I paid for my membership.

I must have misread it on the membership breakdown. I fell in love with these forums, and simply dropped the money on a 1yr my 2nd day here.

Welcome, man!

There are some darn tasty beverages out there in the $4-10 range. I love me some vintage beers (that is, beers with the year printed on 'em). My fave is Samisclhaus, brewed by monks once a year on December 6. It'll kick you in the head!
