Hello all! Just wanted to introduce myself as I'm new to the homebrew community. My wife and I have done a few batches in the last couple months.
We started with an oatmeal cookie stout from a kit. It was delicious. That same day we also brewed an amber that my lhbs helped us with. Also delicious. Next was a "coffee and donut" stout from a kit. But there's a bit of a back story. The kit was about 4 years old... We decided, why not, but also figured the yeast was probably dead so we committed a sin and used baking yeast. Never again. It tastes like olives to me and I hate olives. My wife can't describe what it tastes like to her but also won't drink it. We have some cider and a white ipa in bottles now that'll be ready soon!
