Hey guys,

I love that I stumbled onto this community, with a little help from a buddy who has been brewing for the last year. I've kicked around the idea for some time, but finally made the choice to start after reading through the Forums Sunday. Its funny because I never really knew that he brewed until he posted on Facebook that he has 85 gallons brewed in the past year. I told him that I wanted to learn more, and BAM - I found HBT.com!!

My first batch will be an Irish Red, and I'm already planning out my second and third batches. I'm kinda excited to begin, if you couldnlt tell.

Thanks in advance to all of the guys/gals that share your wisdom on this fine site. I know that I will pick up a bunch of knowledge.

Anyone have any ideas right off the top of your head of things I should avoid? Anything come to mind of a common mistake that you can help me to miss?

Cheers!!

Jeremy
