I am planning on doing a Bourbon Barrel Porter for my next batch. I have some Wyeast 1272 American Ale II that I recovered and washed from a previous batch a few weeks ago.
My question is whether or not this strain would work well for what I am doing or should I go with a different yeast? I have used 1272 for almost everything up to this point, however I've only been doing Pale Ales. I wasn't sure if it would matter Pale Ale vs. Porter...
