I've had some take 4-5 weeks to carb & condition. A porter may take longer.
And 1 week in fridge is good for good head & decent carbonation. 2 weeks fridge time for thicker head,& longer lasting,fine bubbled carbonation.
well try a few after 4/5 weeks, and then stay patient en keep a few for over a year. porters tend to get better over time. you can keep beer for ages. sour beers and high alcohol dark beers will develop over the years.
