Ok guys I know I have asked this a million times. I just wanna Make sure. So I have 6 gallons of beer. I boil 1 cup or 1 1/2 cup of corn sugar in 1 cup of water then rack the beer into the bottling bucket with the hose at the bottom of the bucket then once full I began to bottle. And that should give me a good carbonation? I'm just using a muntons beer kit

I haven't bottled with sugar in a long time but your process seems dead on. The measurements you might want to double check; that sounds like an awful lot of sugar unless I'm converting wrong.

1 cup is probably way too much sugar - even for 6 gallons. Make sure you know the actual volume of beer you're bottling first. Then, go to a site that helps calculate sugar; something like - http://www.tastybrew.com/calculators/priming.html

Put in the info, and it will tell you how much sugar to use. If possible, weigh the sugar, since that will give you a more accurate measurement.

Other than that, yes, boil with about 1 - 1 1/2 cups water. Cool. Pour into bottling bucket and rack on top of the sugar water. Lots of people (myself included) then give the bucket a GENTLE stir with a sanitized spoon to distribute the mix evenly. After that, bottle and stick those guys somewhere dark and 70 degrees for three weeks.

So 5.5 oz that's 0.6 cup of sugar. Doesn't seem like a lot for a 6 gallons but I will give it a try

I got like 3 carboys so if I screw up one it's just gonna come out flat. Just do better on the next one

That seem right for 5 gallons.

Yeah, it seems like it isn't much, but it'll do the trick. When I first started brewing, the kits I used came with a 5 oz. package of corn sugar for bottling. Using the full 5 oz. I often ended up with beer that was over-carbonated, at least a bit much for my taste.

Nowadays, I generally use between 3 and 4 oz. of corn sugar for bottling a 5 gallon batch with great results. So, your 5.5 oz. for a 6 gallon batch should be just about right.
