Sorry if this has been asked. I could not find the answer.

Tomorrow I will be bottling my first batch. It is a plain IPA from a kit. I also have an IIPA in my primary that I would need to rack into the secondary as well. Can I just immediately rack into it? Or should I rinse clean and sanitize the carboy in between? I am just asking, I am not so lazy. Really. :rockin:

it's never a bad thing to over sanitize. i alway like to clean out everything immediately after i use it. (even if i'll be filling it up again)
you can never be too clean, just remember to sanitize everything that your beer will be touching when you bottle your batch.

YEah, clean it out, swish some sanitizer in it and give 'er another go.

Thanks. I have my bottles in Oxyclean free right now to get the labels off. Then to the dishwasher, then sanitizer tomorrow before filling. I am actually pretty anal about the sanitizing. I just didn't know if there was a good reason to rinse it out.

SKip the dishwasher

the dishwasher is good for taking labels off on used bottles and to give a good cleaning job i found. just dont use the dish soap in it and make sure to clean the food trap. what you need is the hot water and if you are cleaning 50 at a crack it makes it easier to wash them out
