Bottling problem - corks didn't go completely in

Fellow homebrewers!

I just bottled my first batch of mead. Problem is my ancient corker which I got from my grandfather didn't push the corks all the way in (see picture). Will long-term storage still be okay or should I think about other solutions?

Should be fine as long as there is a consistent seal. I used to just shave off the stuck out bit to avoid the possibility of the cork walking its way out if that's a thing.

Modern hand-corkers have the same problem usually. You're fine.
