I've done some searching and can't find any threads about this (which maybe means I'm just the only one with poor bottling etiquette).

I got through over half of my bottling yesterday, but then couldn't finish before I needed to stop. It was my first time bottling so I just underestimated how much time it would take to get setup and into a rhythm.

The beer that I have yet to bottle has been in a sealed bottling bucket (with the priming solution mixed in) for the past 36 hours, and while I plan to mark which beer was bottled yesterday and which is bottled today so I know if any postfermantation oxidation has occurred, I'm wondering if it would make sense to gently stir what's in the bottling bucket to make sure the priming solution didn't settle down to the bottom.

Thoughts? Anything else I should be concerned about?
 
There is a good chance the yeast have already started to consume your priming sugar. Let it sit for a few days and dose it with priming sugar again then bottle the rest. You'll be fine.

Yep, if it's been 36 hours it's really too late. The majority of the priming sugar is probably already fermented, but there isn't any way to really tell. You'll have to wait a few more days, reprime, and then bottle.

You want to add your priming sugar JUST before you bottle, not a day or even half a day before. The small amount of sugar you're adding is consumed pretty quickly by the yeast.
 
Yeah i think the only issue you might have would be under carbonation, as the yeast will start to eat the corn sugar in the bucket and release some of the CO2 which would have been trapped in the bottles. No way to know how much of that would have occurred in 36 hours, so you'll just have to wait and see.
 
Sounds good. I'll wait a few days then (which is about how long it's going to take me to clean out this carboy...)
