is there an advantage/ disadvantage to siphon or bucket with a spigot? seems a bucket with a spigot is a no brainer, easier than working a hose and racking cane?

Whatever works for you. I could never get my bottling bucket to not leak, so for me hose, cane, and wand was the way to go :) . Personally, I think the cane and hose is as easy as dicking with the bottling bucket.

Both will work, but you don't want to 'pour' from your spigot due to oxygen. There might be difficulty sanitizing the spigot as well.
