I'm having trouble collecting a ton of wine bottles and I have like 100+ 500ml beer bottles. Bottling beer with the crown caps the beer can hold the carbonation so there shouldn't be trouble for the wine right.

Should I attempt this?

I did it with carbonated Apfelwein and had no problems. It was actually a large hit at a tailgate, especially for the women I was hanging out with.

one of the local wineries retail stores sells me a case of empty bottles for $2. You can try checking there.

Beer bottles are not good for aging wine in but if you are doing something like apfelwein that isn't going to be aged they are fine.
