If I put my bottle in the dishwasher will the labels clog anything up?
I figure this would be a good way to get the labels off using hi temp wash, sanitize and hot air dry.

I put about 1/2 c Borax, 1/2c Super washing soda in a utility tub with warm water and soak the bottles for about 15-20 mins, works way better than the cleansers they sell, and its alot cheaper! You can buy 4# boxes of those cleansers in the laundry soap isle at the supermarket for about $3. No scraping, even gets the pesky aluminum foil labels off the modelo bottles.

If you do use the dish washer, I would suggest not using the sanitize or hot air dry cycle on bottles with labels. Any labels that land on the heating element in the bottom of dish washer can start a fire. Yes, this can happen. My SWMBO almost got a new dishwasher from the fire in my dishwasher.

I use the oxy clean method. I soak them in very hot water and the Sierra Nevada lebels (and 90 % of other labels come off in about 5 minutes. I';ve only had one label that took 30 minutes. I don't know what glue they used but I am glad none of the other breweries are using it.

So I am guessing you can't use the dishwasher as a sanitizer if you have labels? Kind of regretting buying labels, its more of a pain than what they worth at this stage for me.
