Bottle conditioning question?

I have been conditioning a brown ale in bottles for little over a week, a gave a buddy a bottle but told him not to drink for at least another week. I forgot to tell him to leave it out in room temp and he put in fridge! I told him to take out and turn upside down for a few seconds then leave out. Not sure what the correct thing would be to do after that, any advice?? Thanks
