Coming up to Boston for a long weekend. What are some of your favorite bars-cocktails or beer or otherwise. Favorite beer/liquor stores? Any other suggestions that y'all have?

Everything listed so far is great. Other places I'd pile on are:

Oleana
Meyer's and Chang
Toro
Coppa
Neptune Oyster
Cambridge beer co.
Shepard
Bar Mezzana
Craigie on Main
O Ya
Waypoint (same bar manager and chef from Alden & Harlow)

Alden & Harlow is consistently my #1 favorite

Any Craft Beer Cellar location will probably fill your beer needs. I like the Urban Grape and Social Wines because their wine selection is really nicely curated along with a great beer selection.

If you have some extra time and are looking for something more unique, I'd reserve a seat at Buffalo Jump down in Falmouth. It was my most memorable meal of last year and is BYOB because it's more of a pop-up restaurant.

For folks who have had a good amount of Trillium, what are your favorite top 3 or so beers available at Fort Point right now? In town for the weekend and hoping to grab a few.

Congress and Fort Point variants will always be my favorite. As the third choice I'd say Mettle but that's only because I haven't had Dialed In or Stilling Street. God I miss Trillium.

Of what they have now: Congress, DDH Stillings, Dialed In. Motuka Fort Point is new - haven't tried it yet, but i bet its pretty good. Something to keep in mind is that you can buy single cans at Trillium. So you aren't tied to getting full 4pks, which is nice if you want to get more than just 3 beers.

Definitely DDH Stilling. I don't enjoy their DIPAs as much as their pale ales so take my advice with a grain of salt. Launch beer and Tiny Chicken would be my other top choices right now. I don't really care for the Small Bird series but Tiny Chicken is a stand-out for some reason.

Howdy Beantown.

Going to be visiting your fine city for a conference next week, arriving on Sunday and leaving Wednesday. I'm staying at Boston Marriott Copley Place. A quick search of what is close to there has led me to Five Horses Tavern. I was also looking at the Salty Pig. Anything else close to there I should add to my list? Thanks!

That's where I used to live. My usual places within walking distance were Uni, Douzo, Select, Butcher Shop, and Luke's Lobster. Pho Basil if you want cheap but good Vietnamese food. I used to go to the Santouka in Cambridge all the time too but a new one opened near Boylston. Only been to Salty Pig once but it was good. For beer I've heard good things about Eataly in the Prudential Center.

IMHO, Pho Basil makes the best pad thai in greater Boston.

Hopping on the 'visiting Boston' train. I have a brief stopover in Boston on Sunday morning before heading to a conference in western MA. I'm thinking Row 34 for brunch + beer while I'm in the city. Good call, or is there somewhere else I should head? Proximity to Logan is preferred since I need to be back at the airport by 2 pm.

It's easy to take the silver line (free from airport) into the Seaport from Logan and walk over to Row. Brunch at Row is actually really good. They just put a lot of Fiddlehead stuff on tap, and Second fiddle in cans. Not sure if it will make it to Sunday though

Planning a trip to Boston (or Sudbury rather) to visit my sister now that she lives there. Anyone want to meet up while I'm there? I am thinking sometime early September. I plan to hit Trill (Canton) and Tree House if I can.

I was briefly in the area yesterday for a wedding. The waygu burnt ends sandwich from that Moody's pop up at Trillium was the truuuuuuth. Also Permutations #9 (I think it was 9--the one with peaches) was delicious.

Also, despite the **** weather, we drove up to Salem to check out Notch's beer garden. In addition to the beers being really god damn good, the space is gorgeous. I'm looking forward to heading back up and drinking a liter of Polish lager outside on the water in the very near future.

That sandwich was unreal and #11 is the one with peaches

See you Dick weasels next week. Anything fun to do out there? We're going to the game on Thursday but fly in Wednesday, before flying to Munich Saturday afternoon.

Looking for quick recommendations. Supposed to be in Brussels at Cantillon right now but the weather and stupid flight stuff yesterday means im in Boston instead for a day; trying to make the most of it.

Thinking Brunch, Trillium, lobster rolls then head back to the airport.

Best brunch spot? Best lobster roll? Trillium worth the trip out to the tap room? Other must have eats for lunch?

Row 34 for all of the above. No need to go to Canton - they have a place on the Rose Kennedy Greenway across from Rowes Wharf where you can grab beers.

There should be a ferry from the airport directly to Rowes Wharf and you can walk to Fort Point and Row 34 from there

CannaCon at the Hynes Convention Center?

Really no need? Last time we were in and went to row 34 they had maybe 2 trillium on and wasn't blown away by the rest of the selection.

If you've not been, Cambridge Brewing Co. is a nice place to hangout and drink some beer. (Easily accessed from Red Line.) There's a hipster brunch spot next door, The Friendly Toast, which is usually quite busy but they have some good food.

Thanks, went to Friendly Toast last time we were here so gonna pass on that and I need my Trill fix.

Also in Fort Point - Flour for breakfast sandwiches, Barrington for coffee.

If you do have a car, I'm a big fan of Brewer's Fork in Charlestown for beer and brunch. Not much else around there though.
No car so sticking around downtown. Thanks for the tips around fort point

No idea what that is so no.
Some sort of weed convention in Boston today.

The Trills garden is nearby, I'd agree to skip Canton. Go for lobster roll at Row and then drink at the garden. Or the suggestion for CBC is also good.

Doing the opposite. Wanted more Breakfast focused brunch. Went to Area 4, loved it. Cinnamon roll was incredible, hot mess hash was great. Heading to the Trill garden then late lunch row 34 lobster roll before the airport.

Just bummed I'm gonna miss Neptune Oyster house...

Thanks for the heads up on the greenway. This place rocks!

Only annoyance as someone from Houston is hearing people complain about the "heat" when it's a beautiful 76 on a breezy day. Go to Houston right now if you want to know what HOT is, this is beautiful.
