No hints on the bourbon county varients around the city today? Supreme in Quincy so far I've heard has the most, no limit, a friend got 4 Cherry Rye and 3 '09 bombers. Supreme in Central Sq and Blanchards in Allston only have BCBS and Barleywine 4 packs but if you're running low from the winter then ask at the counter. Really looking for a Vanilla so if any of you local guys find an extra I'll gladly pay or offer up some bottles

What's this, release of cellared bcbs?

Yeah for "migration week" there are releases all over the city. 09 bombers, Cherry Rye and Vanilla for cellared and BCBS and Barleywine 4packs have all showed up on shelves today. There's a tap takeover at Foundry tomorrow that includes KH and a nice list and one at Stoddard's on Friday that I haven't seen a list for yet but will probably be similar

Edit from Foundry for tomorrow:
Join Foundry on Elm as we welcome back Goose Island Brewery for the 3rd annual Goose Island Tap invasion.

featuring the following Goose Island Beers:

2013 Bourbon County Stout Backyard Rye
2012 Coffee Bourbon County Stout
2013 Coffee Bourbon County Stout
2013 Barley Wine
2013 Gillian
2013 Juliet
2013 Lolita
Rasselbock
King Henry

Gordon's Waltham has regular BCBS, Barleywine and Backyard Rye, was totally confused when I saw it just sitting out, but it makes sense with the Goose Island event this weekend...

I guess there was only one case of Vanilla and it came and went, at Kappy's Medford, Rich said it was the only case that was released in Boston...

That's the store I heard had it for $14 so it's totally possible it was the only case, just passing on the info I've gathered. I wish there was more, I'm going to get KH on Friday and Vanilla will be my only one left to tick. I was hoping more would be scattered and I'd have a better chance of someone grabbing me 1

Yeah, good for Kappy's, they could have easily charged 3x that amount and not blinked an eye...

*edit* Marty's Newton said they will most likely be getting a yet to be determined shipment, so here's hoping they get Vanilla...I can't imagine Kappy's sells the most AB product in the metro area...

I just got a cold chill thinking about Marty's Newton pricing. I wonder if Goose/Bud has any say in pricing for these special deliveries.

Yeah, if their Hommage pricing is any indication, I think they will have a healthy margin built in to the price...makes me feel like I'm back at Eagle Provisions in Brooklyn...

Them and Blanchard's Allston are usually the top 2 accounts for the Bud distributor (which is Boston-area only), driven largely by kegs and 30s. Source: Used to work at Blanchard's Allston.

You weren't swiping them credit card numbers were you? Buncha savages in this town.

Hmm, King Henry removed from list for event at Foundry tonight. Anyone know what happened there?

Malicious software installed remotely by somebody. Happened to a few places around town. Took way too long to find it, but yeah... Secret service was involved, etc.

Debating on whether to go to Foundry...not dying to pay > $/oz for BCBS or even BCBCS. No King Henry anymore for some unspecified reason. Backyard at $20 bottle is a steal at a bar. Would anyone want to split one of those?

Backyard still available at Waltham Gordons, I think... but if you go to Foundry, you need to buy a bottle of backyard, ask for the largest glass you have, and do an in-bar MarkIntihar. SORRY I TAGGED YOU MARK

Not at Gordons Moody St. at least (as of last night).

But also shows how good $20 at Foundry is ($20.99 at Gordons).

GI rep said the King Henry log fell off a pallet + exploded. R.I.P.

To replace it he had two bottles of BCBS Rare he cracked last night instead.

I had a hunch that's what happened. GI rep said there was a problem in the warehouse where the beer is staged...beyond their control. Latter part is questionable.

So how many people got in on the Rare? I biked by last night and looked to be a packed house.

I only stayed for an hour or so, left before Rare got cracked. I think they were pouring 2 oz. samples. Did get to try some 2010 Juliet, was drinking A-OK.

Have been completely unable to find bottles of regular 3F Oude Geuze around Boston for the last couple of weeks so I just totally overreacted and bought all the remaining Golden Blend on the shelf at a couple of stores.

.....whoops.

You snag some ECBP at Liquor World too?

yummy. they had golden blend last time i was there if you want more.

You sure? Friend was there on Saturday and said he looked but maybe he was only looking for regular geuze. They had Scharbeekse Kriek bottles sitting on the shelf there for like well over a year, I didn't buy, then they disappeared. Maybe I'll check it out soon.
