Boil-Off rate

What kind of boil off is everybody getting doing a ten gallon batch. I think I have pretty much everything down for my first AG batch other than how much water to start with.

I do 5 gallon batches and lose 1 gallon in a 60 minute boil. Generally you will lose 15% an hour.

I figured I am getting about a 24% boil off.

I lose about a gallon per hour, rolling boil, using a keggle and a ~210k BTU banjo burner.

1/2 gal/30 minutes at a brisk boil. -p

If I recall my high school chemistry stuff, the boil off rate would be set by the heat apllied and the surface area. So, same burner, same pot, same rate. If 1 gal/hr for a 5 g batch, 1gal/hr for 10 gallons.

Of course, if you need to sparge more to get the sugars, you'll need to boil more.
