Boil kettle ?

So I am rebuilding my burner for my boil kettle and was wondering how far from the pot should the burner be ? I will make it adjustable but looking for a good starting point.....Thanks

The tips of the bg14 elements on my Blichmann burners are 2-3/4" below the (flat) kettle bottoms.
May not be the optimal spacing for keggles, however...
