Blueberry Vanilla Ale - ideas? how would YOU brew it?

My fiancee had a crazy and somewhat awesome idea the other day - blueberry vanilla ale. She wants it for Valentines Day.

If you had to brew this recipe, how would you do it? Just looking for some fun suggestions and thoughts before jumping into this one.

Don't know to much about fruit beers but made a blueberry mead last year that came out fantastic. I don't know what type of beer your wife likes but I like the idea of putting the blueberry in a stout. Maybe age it on some oak for some of that vanilla character.

Other than that the only beer I've had with blueberry is a local here in Georgia by sweetwater called blue. Pretty tasty lager for sure.
