Blowoff/airlock hybrid

I was visiting a fellow hombrewer in Duluth who is also a member of HBT (Username: Bumbler) , and he showed me this cool airlock he had made. Super simple to make, and he said it worked perfectly. I havn't seen him post pics yet, so I'm stepping in and letting the world know. In the proccess of making my own now.

Nice - That's a pretty good alternative. I'm ok with the hose. I use carboy caps. Once I fit the hose on its on there until it done or until it gets racked to a 2ndary.

I'm guessing the bulkhead fitting is pricey and prolley used since it was on hand and convenient. Its cool seeing different ways to do things. A short racking cane and grommet would have sufficed.
