Greetings, Making my first hard cider this weekend.
My wife has requested blood orange hard cider.
Picked, juiced and froze the blood oranges from the tree in the back yard last weekend.
The question is, at what point do I add the Blood orange juice?
Also, any suggestions on how much?
I typically add 32ozs per 5.5 gal. batch in my California Pale ales...…
Thanks,

I've always heard fermented orange juice tastes bad. I would stabilize it before adding the OJ.
Add as much as it takes to get the sweetness you want.

Thanks for the reply, I went ahead and 'brewed' it up over the weekend. Hopefully it'll be tasty. Our blood oranges are rather tart so additional adjustments I'm sure will have to take place. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks again

Last time I fed it will be this weekend. lol!
But seriously its probably been a few years.
I will definitely get on it.
