Whats up with Blichmann? Almost every product they have is out of stock and they have a long wait for them to come into stock.

I know I've heard from other vendors that a lot of stainless products from China have been delayed due to the Chinese new year with shipments expected mid march - mid april.

Yeah, there's a big shortage of stainless and some other problems sourcing materials. A lot of the kettle manufacturers have been talking about this- stout tanks and the penrose kettle from brewhemoth both have had (in the past) a pretty long out-of-stock delay. My understanding (as someone who ordered right as they were going out of stock) was that Blichmann's problem was compounded by an unexpected surge in demand. They got a big pile of orders and couldn't fulfill them all.

I've got my kettles already (30 gallon and gorgeous), but I'm still waiting on my toptier; on top of everything else, the latest shipment of legs for the stand was defective and they need replacements. When you've got 40 gallons of hot wort and water on your stand, you do NOT want a leg to go, so I'm pretty happy they caught the manufacturing defect.

Yeah, I tried to order a BoilerMaker online and was hit with May/June expected dates from all retailers (all dropshipped). My LHBS had them in stock, so I just bought one there.

Yep still waiting on my Toptier too. Over 2 weeks now. Not that bad. But, they should definitely take the in stock and ready for immediate shipment off their website as it is totally misleading.

Well, I just ordered my top tier system too. I was hoping to brew on it in the next week. I was going to get a Blichmann 10 gallon kettle with it, but there are none to be had. So instead, I purchased a kettle and ordered the valve, thermometer etc from bargain fittings and will make my own.

I went all out, 2 burners and a shelf, terminator, march pump (which I may not need). I got a delayed end of year bonus on st pattys, so what better way to blow it than on beer making gear?
