I've had my Blichmann burner for 2.5 years. I started with extract and I've moved to AG about a year ago (all 5G batches). I never measured my amount of boils per propane tank prior to moving to AG, but it seems I'm getting less and less brews/propane tank. I do use the burner to heat my mash, sparge, and boils, but I'm down to about 5 brews per tank. I tend to have longer boils (75 or 90min) and I always overshoot my mash temps and then let the water cool a couple degrees before mashing in.

All in all, I'm happy with it, and the cost per brew isn't an issue for me, but I'm wondering what others are getting with there Blichmann burner. Feedback is much appreciated.

Cheers.

I don't have anything to compare it to since I've only had the Blichmann burner but it seems pretty darn efficient to me. I only use it for the boil and I get 10 brews, give or take, out of a 5 gallon tank. So with you using it for the mash, sparge, and boil that sounds about right.
