Hey,

I just purchased a Blichmann beer gun and accessory kit. I was hoping someone could help me out as to how to hook up all the connectors and such. I know where to connect the CO2, but still a little unsure about the liquid line. Do I just connect the liquid line running from my keg to the back of the beer gun?

Also, when initially connecting all the CO2 to my beer gun to my distributor, do I turn of the CO2, then turn it back on when all the lines are connected?

I have attached a few pictures below. I know this is a newbie question, but any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I am trying to enter a home-brew competition in a couple weeks. Thanks in advance and have a great night.

Cheers,
Jimmy

Since it looks like you are using a distributor, turn the gas pressure down to 5-ish PSI and turn off the valve for the beer gun. Connect the beer line as you expect, from keg out to the top of the beer gun. It helps if you heat the tubing under some hot water first.

When you are ready, make sure the gas pressure to the gun and the pressure to the beer are roughly the same, and you are good to go.

When you put the wand in a bottle, don't squeeze the handle gently, pull it all the way open quickly, and you'll be in business.

Thanks. Do I turn of all the gas lines when connecting everything?

Yeah, for sure, but first turn the regulator down to 5 psi or so (5-7 is okay, I think the beer gun instructions say no more than 10), then turn off all the lines, then connect everything. When you turn the lines back on you will be at a nice low beer gun pressure.

I am about to purchase one and looked to youtube for info. There were several including this one that showed how to put it together and take it apart that might help.
