Bottles using kegs as brite tank. All went great, good carb in first opened bottle. But it didn’t make a single noise when the opened like a bottle normally does. Should I have concern on the rest of my bottles?

So you carbed in your keg , then used a blichman beer gun to bottle? Maybe because theres more pressure when you carb in a bottle naturally then when using a beer gun . I'm not sure . Honestly I've never listened to bottles that I've filled using a beer gun versus bottles that I've carbed with priming sugar. Sounds like a science project on the horizon lol

I've used both Blichman Beer Gun as well as counter-pressure bottler (also bottled from kegerator tap using a growler filler). Nothing is better than counter-pressure, except for maybe bottle conditioning, but bottle bombs and sediment are issues.

For ease of use the Beer Gun can't be beat, but under-carbing often results. It seems like a properly carbed beer looses some of its oomph rather quickly over time. My work-around if I want to bottle a few (vs. serve from keg) is to transfer a gallon into a cannonball keg and increase the gas pressure for a day or so, then bottle. I started doing this after getting dinged for 'flat' beers in competitions.

It's not a perfect solution nor is it very precise, but it works.

When I bottle from my keg it's usually being consumed that day/night. The odd thing is when breweries bottle their beer it's already carbed up. However you crack one open and it has the nice hiss sound and isnt under carbonated at all.

Did you have a lot of foaming issues when bottling? What was your procedure for bottling? Purge keg? Lower pressure?

I use the beer gun to fill my bottle condition beer . I put the sugar in the keg , transfer to keg and use the beer gun to purge bottles before filling

I assume breweries overcarb to account for any loss during bottling.

I had minor foaming, nothing too bad., I purged keg and lowered pressure. The beer poured very well carved but no hiss. Was hoping to emulate what the breweries do to avoid trub and have more consistency in carbonation. I did pop this bottle within 50 minutes of filling.
