I’ve never tried blending my beers before but I currently have a stout and a citra pale ale on tap so I gave it a shot. The end product was surprisingly good! I know stouts and pale ales are nothing new (black and tan) but it’s new for me. The stout didn’t have a good crush and while all the specialty grains got throughly milled there was a significant % of the base grain that remained in tact. As you can imagine the OG was low, ABV was low and it’s super roasty. I guess it’s fine for someone who loves roasty beers but that’s not me. So 2 parts stout to one part pale ale was the ticket and made a delicious beer. What are some of your blending success stories?
