Black IPA

I am brewing a black IPA and wanted to toss is white labs british ale yeast WLP005 instead of the included DRY-97 American west coast dry ale yeast.

Any thoughts?

i wouldn't do it but i don't like british yeast. If you do, then pitch away

I went off the reservation with this one anyway might as well go full bore with the yeast! I added like 8 oz of Muntons chocolate malt to really darken it up on top of the 8oz of 80l caramel and 8oz of crushed victory.

Sound like you might be heading into stout territory

Stout , black IPA, as long as its black and taste like hops I'll be happy
