I have been brewing for a little while now and have gotten the hang of the process. I would like to start trying some things, like adding black or green tea to a recipie. I am part owner of a tea company so I have the highest quality, Fresh (right out of the dryer) black and green teas at my disposal.
Does anyone have any experience with tea in beer? What is the best type of beer to add the tea to? What kind of flavor profile does it result in?

Thanks!

take a strong beer and mix it with a strong (cooled down) tea and see what you think - most people don't like it but homebrewing is about doing what you like.

Hi,

Well from what I've tried so far... The green tea flavor gets lost in most of the fermentation. I've been trying to figure out ways trying to keep that aroma and the flavor of the green tea. I think picking a lighter tasting beer that wouldn't mask to much of the tea flavor would help. Have you try mixing different types of tea together and tasting it first.
