I haven't dry-hopped a whole lot, but I just bottled an APA, and when I pulled the hop sock tonight, there were some black chunks in it. I used Willamette whole hops. I have never seen this before. The chunks had the consistency of wet charcoal briquettes and they dissolved when I rubbed them between my fingers. They did not smell moldy or have any other weird odors. I had the hop sock in there for 5 days. Any ideas?
