Hey!
Hope im not just rehashing an old topic, did a quick search, couldnt find alot of conversation on it.

Coles notes version, I really want to start doing 10 gal batches more frequently. I have a limited # of carboys and id like to save those for 5 gal batches, expetiments, new beers to try. Drooling over shiny 14 gal SS conicals, can't justify the cost.. Breakups, life... it happens. lol
Ive seen people using the 15 gal plastic conical "biodiesel inductor tanks" and at around $80 bux a pop, seem reasonable. I realize some mods should be made, perhaps an insulation layer to help the temps and keep light out etc. I guess i envision a couple of these bad boys in a fabricated enclosure, cooled with a window shaker, heated with a ceramic small heater. There are also cleaning concerns.. Care as to not scratch the inside etc.
Looking for real world reviews. Any off tastes from the plastic? Easy to clean?

Thanks!

Try searching plastic conical, I know people use them and I think generally with good results. Off the top of my head I think sealing the lid is the biggest issue.

Check out this thread. They are using the same plastic inductor tanks you're referring too

Found this in the list from search. Not sure if you used the search bar in your post that only searches the thread you're in. From the main index it searches all threads for those words I had many many results but this was the thread I had in mind when searching anyway. At least in the mobile app anyway
