Attempted my first BIAB brew day today. I wanted to do a 4 gal batch. My recipe was this: Just kind of made it up, going for a stout style of beer.

All-grain:
6lbs Rahr 2-Row Malt
1.5 lbs Briess Caramel 80L
0.5 lbs Briess Organic Chocolate
0.5 lbs Chocolate Wheat
0.5 lbs Simpsons Black Malt

1.0 oz Uk Fuggle
2.0 oz Cascade
1.0 oz Willamette

Started with 5 gal of mash water.

90 min mash at 152-154 degrees

The grain sucked up about 1.5 gal of water. I kind of pulled up the bag tight to get the grain out the wort and the added the extra water I had heated to bring the volume back to 5 gal.

Turned out real dark looking. And got just over 4 gal.

How was your efficiency? Your grain looks a bit coarse (from what I can see) to get really great efficiency but the long mash would help that.

It looks like you had a pretty successful brew day, much smoother than my last one that I did yesterday with a bunch or unmalted rye. What a sticky mess.
