Doing a bitter pale ale. 5 gallons. 5.2 ABV. Brewed with Cascade and Columbus.

I am planning on dropping some tettnanger .50 oz for about 4 days back to back prior to bottling. Is that a good hop for DH or should I just drop in more of the C hops?

Thanks

Yeah, Tett is going to be weird with that combo of boil hops- I'd definitely go with C-hops or Amarillo

You could try it. What the heck. Some people are trying to do German IPAs now, and you might look to see how they structure their hop pairings. Personally, I think it sounds weird, but I've also never tried it. So, who knows? If you decide against tettnanger, you still have a lot of options beyond what's been named already.

Great feedback. Mirrors my feelings on it too. I chose those hops to not make a trip to my HB shop. thinking I will take a gallon split batch and throw the tett in there and get weird. Do the rest with the cascade.

Thanks all.

Sounds like a prudent plan. Come back and tell us how it turns out.
