i have the bottle capper that came with my kit and would like to upgrade to a good table-top version. anyone have any recommendations for a good one?

If you have a drill press you already have one. Go to the hardware store and find something that will thread into our bell caper and chuck it up.

Currently I use a bench capper that must of came out of the 30s or 40s, cleaned it up and mounted it to a piece of cotton log scrap and works great. Bottled 180 gallons one day with one guy filling and me capping, the old bench capper saved lots of time. Way better than the red barron.
I'm cheap tho and would like to get a nice bench capper.

Wow, let's see a pic?

I've had the Super Agata bench capper for a couple years now. Mounted on a piece of scrap 3/4" plywood so it's portable yet very stable. Love it.

Here it is. I believe it is a everedy brand. My dad found it in some trash pile and thought of me. This one is a little older than the one my wife found me, that one has a removable bell. The one shown does not.

All I had to do was wire wheel it. Remove the old cork in the bell and replace it with foam from a coozy, lube the bell with food grade lube and in business

think I'm gonna have to try the super agata, seems like a popular and good choice, thanks everyone

It works great. Upgrade to a bench capper. I rarely bottle any more but a bench capper is a must have. Sorry I couldn't point you n the direction of which one to purchase
