Yep. I much prefer the Tom Johnston era Doobies to the McDonald sound. As much as I respect MM’s vocal ability I really don’t like his voice…..if that makes any sense.

Same here, I just never cared for his music. I think he's incredibly overrated.

Oh not me!! I think he's highly respected among fans and fellow musicians. Donald Fagen, ever the perfectionist, would certainly never allow anyone but the absolute best anywhere near the recording studio or live on stage with the Dan. I just happen not to like his voice, even though I can acknowledge his talent.

I haven't heard the details but it would surprise me if it were split only three ways. I have to imagine the estates of both Richard and Syd will see a sizeable share.
