I'm sure this answer varies(like most things around here), but what would everyone say is best or most value kegerator? or where to find a good one? Anyone have one they just really like?

I'm looking to get one in the relatively near future and just thought I'd start asking around....

Thanks.

What's the best kegerator? It's the one you built that has your beer flowing out of the taps.

(sorry this probably doesn't come close to answering your question)

it's whatever makes you happy. :D
Mine is perfect for my needs right now.
Someday it will be replaced.

Till then, it's :mug:

I suggest you read it as well and come up with your own design.

+1; Personally, since I live in a smaller apartment, I went the mini-fridge route (Sanyo 4912). If I had the room, I would def. go with freezer and controller, or if I could, I'd make HUGE fridge with second chamber for fermentation. It all depends on your needs and limitations, but this thread will give you some ideas.

Can a mini fridge setup hold a full half barrel? or is there a size of fridge necessary to do this? I'd like to hold my own homebrew in mine as well as possible microbrew(and some only sell in half barrels) , should I choose. Due to space requirements I'd still rather have a microfridge or at lease the smallest possible to hit these conditions.

Thanks for all the previous responses, that other thread is pretty cool.

mine can hold a half barrel with my improvised extension on the front. it basically doubles sit internal capacity. one day i will make it complete and take pictures. it holds 3 corneys and the 5lb cly right now.

How did you do that?

I am thinking about either something like that, a keezer, or something I build from foam.

I just bought an old fridge off of a used appliance dealer. There are lots of electricians and crafty people on here. Anytime I've ever had a problem with it, which has been seldom, someone on here has helped me.

I can fit 5 cornies in it and I use only picnic taps. I keep the CO2 tank in the fridge with the beer. Without the kegs I probably only payed about 200 bucks.
