I always go for local (or at least regional) wildflower honey for my meads. Prices are typically good if you get enough of it, or direct from the apiary.

All of the wildflower that I use comes from my local apiary 1.5 miles from my house. I go to the other places for different varietal honeys that I can't get from my local guy.
