I've been making wine but i've just had my first go at cider. I'm accustomed to using fining agents after racking. Does anyone have suggestions for products to use? Egg Whites? Gelatin? Does it matter when you add your agent?

Thanks

Paul

I made a really nice cider that came out really clear without any fining agents. I just let it all fall out in the bottom of the bottles. I considered using polyclar but in the end decided that I didn't want plastic bits in my beverages, but it turned out clear anyway as long as I leave a half inch in the bottle.
I imagine that gelatin, isinglass or polyclar would work added at the end of the fermentation but cannot be more help then that sorry.
