So, those of you who tuned into a recent broadcast saw my new 15 gallon kettle. Well, I drilled and installed both bulkheads this morning.

6mm wall thiickness (.162"). Sure beats the .035 thick wall on my retired Bayou.

Anyone know if a 3/8" to 1/2" transition exists? I just need to fit the plug end of the QD onto the existing 3/8" ball-valve.
How about this? It's stainless so it's a little more expensive. They probably have 'em in brass at Lowe's.

Don't know why I wrote "mm" instead of "gauge", but the .162 inches is the correct conversion.I thought it was 6mm also but its 6 gauge (approx. 5mm) The 6mm pot is over 100$
