I just recently bought a wine kit from amazon and am excited to learn how to make my own wine. I’m looking into making sweet fruit wines and mead, I have a friend who is a beekeeper and can get honey from him.

I have a lot to learn. Any tips would be appreciated, thanks.

Make lots the first couple of years to get ahead of the aging process - enough to drink before it's technically ready (it will probably be good so you'll want to drink it and share it) and to age for the recommended amount of time. Also take lots of notes so if something is really good you can make it again.

Meticulous sanitation.

Awesome notes.

Experiment.

Appreciate the info. I’m excited to start.

How long do sweet wines have to sit before drinking them?

I'd like to learn how to make Miscato and save myself and the wife some $$. Love that type of wine!
