They need an option to hide the beer glass graphic so I can design recipes at work without a big picture of a glass of beer on the screen!

I do believe there is an option for this. At least in 2.2 there was.

If you hit the + button next to the big beer glass, you can put whatever picture you prefer.... I assume you are looking for something less tempting.. but where's the fun in that!?
