Hi,
I just got Beersmith and was trying to set up an equipment profile. Right now I am looking at the "Loss to Trub and Chiller" field. I typically do small (1-2 gallon) BIAB batches and strain my wort as it goes into the fermenter. As a result, the liquid that is lost from kettle to fermenter seems to be quite small. Should I consider this a loss of 0 wort to trub and chiller?

Thanks!

I would recommend setting the loss to trub and chiller to zero as a start. Change it only if you find you consistently have some fluid left over when you fill your fermentor.

How does everyone measure the volumes at each stage? Just markings on the vessels or liquid height?
