Hello everyone

Since there is people from all around the world here, I would like to know a beer per country - meaning: the most popular beer in each of the european countries.

I know it's a huge deal but if you had to choose...

Are you saying most popular IN the country? Most popular export?

If you're saying in the country I would assume an example like this:

Belgium - Jupiler or Maes - I believe Stella was a distant runner up.
France - Krounenbourg?
Netherlands - Heineken

Export to the US:
Actually the same, but with Belgium's most "popular" export (to the US) being Stella

It would be not taking into account the origin of the beer.

I would basically like to know if the people from the different countries in Europe drink the beer produced in their country or if on the contrary, a brand 'from the outside' has been stablished as the most popular. (And if that's the case, how is that?! Advertising? Price? Composition?)

Most popular in the USA .... probably something like Budweiser.

It is certainly not the most popular on this forum.

Kingfisher in India - yuck. Kind of ironic when thinking of the genesis of the India Pale Ale.

France would be Kronenbourg / 1664

Switzerland would be hard to say because they are very keen on their local town breweries. At least from the area my family is originally from, each town literally still has their own brewery that produces something unique.
